truck wont start code 1693

I have a 01 dodge 5 speed it has a fast fuel and a tst i was driving down the road yesterday and it died and i cant get it to start it will crank but wont start the code 1693 poped up but i dont kmw what theDTC detected in ECM or PCM means if some has had this problem could u please help i need to ger it runimg for work
 
Might want to check all fuses, and also check for fuel at the injection pump and at the injectors.
 
i thought that the vp 44 pump mite of went out but i will check what u said
 
vp44pumpstore has cheap vp's. sometimes you can clear the code, make sure ur gettin fuel to the vp and injectors, and it'll crank back up.
 
how much fuel was in the tanks when it died?, p1693 is a code that basiclly lets you know that there are more codes present in the ecm, try and give me as much info in detail that you can and we'll try and get her figured out
 
ok I cracked #1,3,4 lines an they are getting fuel. I thought that it might be vapor locked cuz the truck had a quarter of tank of fuel. I cracked thoses lines an gave it a shot of either an it didnt even begin to start. Ive checked the codes again an 1693 is the only code it has.
 
hmmm... how long ago did you install ur fass and has it ever done this before?
 
Fass was on the truck when I bought it. Ive only owned it for 2 months, I just put the tst on 3 days ago an its ran fine till now. Im getting ready to go back out an triple check all conections an maybe unhook it to see if that makes a difference.
 
Ok well im working on tinkers truck, checked all fuses, checked all conections an unhooked the tst an nothing has changed. I really think its the electronics on the pump went bad. I guess we will take it to Northeast Diesel tomorrow an let kevin fix it. Thanks for the help guys. Brian

we r taking it to northeast diesel in the morning so they can find out whats wrong we r scratching our head and the only thing we can think of is that the vp 44 pump is out when they tell us whats wrong i will let u knw thanks for the help
 
no I Just finally got a good pump still stock but the vp44 really ain't that good for the money best I have heard is the echoed lightning pumps proven dyno 70 more hp cost bout 1,800$ though but go big or go home wat they say and idk bout it still not cranking could have fried the computer from the programmer cuz u don't know wat was all done to the truck b4 u had it to many programmer and diff one will mess wit the computer but schied is the way to go
 
ok my pump was out. thats what the diesel shop told me so i will get it back in the morning
