Truck wont start

have a 99 ctd and i drove it around the first half of the day and it ran fine. stopped and turned it off ate lunch and went to start it and it made a loud click and that was it. when i turned the key back to off it started clicking and wouldnt stop unilt i unhooked the batteries. Once i turn the key to start i get one turn and the click and thats it. Guy at the auto parts store said check the batteries but the gauge in the truck shows they are charged normal. any ideas on what could cause this??
 
check your connections on the quadzilla cause mine has did something like that before make sure the prongs in the map sensor plug are not messed up.
 
also if the clicking is coming from the starter it might just be your starter, but i wouldnt think it would be that because you said it continued to click after you turned the key off thats why i think its the quad
 
checked all the prongs and they all looked fine. unplugged the map sensor and the plug from the box and still nothing. only thing i didnt unplug was the pump wire bc its soilderd and i really dont know much about fixing it back. have any other suggestions
