I wanted to do a little write-up on the MVP, as I am extremely happy with it towing......

For starters i tow mowers (around 6k) a couple days a week.....

Scheids HRVP
DDP 200ish
62/71

I hooked up the MVP a while back stacked with smarty and wasn't impressed at all, it popped and sputtered when I wound it up and didn't seem to make any more power.....instead of unloading the smarty I just unhooked it and hooked the Adrenaline back up....:nail:

well the ADR sucks towing on any level as it isn't very smooth on my truck towing, the throttle is jumpy and it bucks and jerks around 2k and up!

The MVP is awesome, it drives like stock until 8psi comes on and then it kicks in very smoothly, but you can tell, and by then the turbo is pretty much lit, it pulls like a dream, no surging, no bucking, just smooth. clean power....Throttle position is unchanged so it's a lot easier to drive in the pasture too

with the ADR the easy driven egts are a little lower, but when pulling a grade they would climb through the roof, with the ADR I didnt see over 1250ish

the truck is a hell of a lot quieter and smoother idling and running also, I started to think I had a fuel knock, but obviously it was just the ADR!

So all in all, I used to drive around with the ADR off and it's pretty much still a smokey mess if I drive aggressively, but It seems as though it's cleaner with the MVP on about 3/4.... the turbo comes in smooth at 8psi and up where with the ADR I could see 10psi a little easier but I would overfuel from there till it hit hard, which was like a hesitation unless i mat it....

topend power unloaded is very similar believe it or not, this will be my new box of choice for the street and maybe even the strip.... I'll have to take it to the track and see!

Fuel mileage testing to come!

Thanks TS crew for a great box!:thankyou2:

I wouldnt mind trying this box myself. Do you do wire tap for this box! My comp box is actin up and was thinkin of goin to something else. How does it fuel on top. Im runnin my comp with out wire tap at the moment and im happy with it. Bottom end is good but top end feels stock. How does thos box compare!

^imo no, but every truck seems to be different in my expierences (depends on setups), ive ran a smarty, a jvd tq, edge comps(still run one) and the old school quad. i liked to ts mvp, seemed to be easier on fuel and smooth running. Chris^ is the new owner off my old one. just sold mine to buy more p-pump parts.

to the comp? it doesn't really as it is not a wire tap box or a fueling box.... but it's great for town driving and towing! but stacked with something like a TST it would be badazz.... I would say it's more powerful up top than the EZ anyday!

Worth getting rid of a smarty for?

well, the smarty doesn't like my truck, it pulls great down low, but kills topend power..... but smarty ran great on my buddies auto truck! so I guess it all depends on what you do or want to do with the truck!

I am trying to understand this better is it a fueling box like a red line or tst, or is it just a chip like the quad and edge just without the pump tap. Also what kind of number do you think that you would see on the dyno with your current set up?

It adds timing a lightly fuels via Canbus, as for numbers I would guess low to mid 400's, just a guess though

My SOP meter says that the MVP on my truck is about equal to the Comp with hot unlock on level 4. It is a lot smoother and waaaaaaay cleaner though. With the way it fuels etc it is actually better in the lower part of the RPM band since it's not overfueling and killing the turbo spool.

it is clean, real clean, like Mr. Clean

I kinda like mine....
Best timing box out there IMO

two questions, first the TS mvp does it add more timing the a edge, Next would a edge comp could you unhook the wire tap leave on higher levels and get more timing out of it.
I know it wont fuel any harder then on level 1 but was thinking it would still add more timing.

Have you ever seen a timing chart for a module?

I think the main issue with the adrenaline is that guys don't know how to adjust it for towing, daily driving. No offense, but I've had customers call me and complain about the Adrenaline. When I ask what settings they run, they usually have fuel stretch on 2200 & the settings all outta wack. Then they say "I'm running the dyno tune". LOL Every truck is different, thats why the Adrenaline has adjustments. Have you adjusted the timing scale? How about boost scale? I've tried everything from the power puck to smarty, to superchips, edge etc. I prefer the Adrenaline for towing.

Jamie since I know that you know the ins and outs of the adrenaline, is there a tune that you would reconmend for a decated tow rig of set up that as worked best for you.

some don't have the pulse... and should be able to take an off the shelf tune and tow.... I mean I can, but I can't wind it out at all! where as i could take an edge comp and tow, drive or whatever and still make close to the same topend power.....but smoothly

I have tried so many settings on this box, still can't find my favorite. I accidently ran into a fun setup this week. I had 12k# in tow and was running Smarty sw3 timing 4. I had adrenaline timing on zero. I turned the Adrenaline on PL01 and I guess the boost fooling helped? All I know is my truck took off in the middle of a 5% grade & hit 75mph before I knew what happened. I forgot to turn my Adrenaline on before leaving a jobsite, saw a Ford approaching pulling a load of quads. I just hit the up button & PL01 took off like it was on PL10. I was like "What the hell?":hehe: I couldn't even see that Ford in the rearview as I topped the hill.

I agree, but in the approach for more power, Quad made the tunes so aggressive that you need to adjust them now days. I ran a edge comp last year when I did the dyno comparison. I couldn't tow with it, way too smokey.

yep, they just took all the parameters and maxed them out, so yea you make a lil power, but you can't ****in drive them
