i finally tapped my pump the other day and if i dont run the smarty with the tst.

it defuels really bad and set like 3 codes today 0122,1694, 1687(ithink).

cleared them put the smarty back on and all is well.

any ideas?

i called tst but havent heard back yet.

thanks

Is the TST adding fuel (can you tell a difference in the levels with the smartu on?) Bad ground or MAP connection?

Good luck with getting TST to call you back. I called them 2 weeks ago, called them once last week and still haven't got a call back. The lady that answers the phone in sales is nice, she said the tech guy is about 70 phone calls behind, he must only answer 1 question a day. :bang

If you haven't already, check their website, there's some good info on the FAQ's page.
I found a pin-out of the plug so I could at least check the wiring and voltage readouts to at least be able to rule out any wiring problems.

it fuels some with out the smarty but its like it fighting not to fuel.
the pump shudders, surges really bad. im guessing this is defueling.

ill have to check out thier website and keep calling.

thanks for the responses.

bsmith when you taped the pump did you set you defuel temp. It may be set to defuel at a very low temp. Also the 0122 code is a APPS code I think.

There's a fuse in the harness on the ground wire. Might want to check and see if that is blown. Mine felt like it wasn't fueling even though all the lights were on. Checked the fuse and while it didn't look blown I swapped it anyways and that made all the difference.
