Very amature question and fairly new to site so if I annoy I am sorry. Mu cuz is looking for the most economical trust worthy electronic add on for his 06 Duramax. Any recomendations? Programmers? flash tunes? Pros? cons? I'm a goat guy myself so I draw complete blank when it comes to a chevy. Any input would be great.$.02

Welcome to the site. how much hp/ ease of use is he looking for- even in the long run ??

He is looking for Moderate. Tows on a daily basis but not too heavy a load. Wants it streetable.

a diablo predator is a good price point downloader. I think it's around 120 rwhp for around the mid $300's. If he thinks he might want to go higher then I would check out a PPE standard tuner; 90 up to 225 flywheel hp for $600 (it can be had cheaper from comp d's vendors.

Cool. I know he has mentioned the PPE but neither of us know anything about it. Thanx for the response.

If you need to know any more about the PPE let me know. I ran one for about 1 1/2 years.

I vote for the PPE, I wish I wouldnt have bought the edge evo that I have now,, I had a ppe on it for awhile, and I didnt buy it cause I thought it was too much,, now I am kicking myself

i am pretty happy with the evo.not the most powerful unit i have ever used but its enuff to help power and fuel economy...

I have used the diablo, the evo and the ppe. The reason that I went with the evo was the guages,, but it is definately the worst for power, and driveability. My tranny just never shifts right with the evo loaded, and everytime I do a upgrade on it from Edge it seems to be worse... the PPE worked the best with the tranny, the fast learn that PPE has is amazing

Cool. It sound like he is leaning to PPE so I will let him know what you are thinking.
