Turbo identification anyone?

Working on a friends truck (These FASS stock replacement pumps are just stupid if you ask me). He bought the truck with an aftermarket turbo on it.
Numbers are:
S/N 174430
Mod S300G071
S/N A1205 363

I'm guessing it's an S300 that hasn't been touched by an aftermarket company? Is that Model number pretty much it.. An S300 that's a 62/71? Definitely feels like it needs a rebuild whatever it is....

S300g is a 57mm comp wheel with a 65mm turbine wheel. But the 71 in there could be a 71.

Thanks.. that definitely gets me closer.. Looks like Weston knew which one I had. But that guys part number came out differently so Weston never went into more detail on the 174430 P/N... hmmm.

Just wondering if he should have it rebuilt or if it'd be worth it to send it to a shop to get slightly tweaked.. It will definitely stay a lower HP truck (Under 400, auto)

I ran across another thread on CF. That is the same turbo BD uses, maybe you can give them a call and find out what it definatley is.

Heck, I would get it rebuilt. Would be a nice top turbo in a set of twins.

I just goggled the part# and came up with some info.

That part number is a 65mm turbine.

This is the info I was given..

57/65mm 11 blade turbine w/ 0.50AR compressor and 0.80AR Turbine...

My compressor housing has a 55p cast on the side and the exhaust housing has a 070 stamped inside one of the inlets.
