I am in need of a turbo.. Would like input on which one would best suite my needs. The truck is a daily driver, pulls a trailer very rarely. My mods are in my sig. Thanks in advance.
 
62/12 with a 65mm wheel. I think that is a great spooling charger.
 
The 65 wheel would get too hot with your mods. A 62/71/14 or 62/71/13ss would be ideal. After switching to a Super B Special, I wouldn't be scared to match it with your setup. It spools around 50-100rpm slower at most.
 
I don't like the later RPM boost of the larger housings/larger wheels. It is an issue with my 6 speed with 3.54 gears and 33" tires. 1800 rpm with 12K in tow in 6th gear just doesn't have the boost to keep it cool.

wow my 62/71 stays cool all the time!


but anyways I have a 62/71/14, and it's a great charger on the street and all around, but it tows very well! I don't tow that much either, and I have ran a 66/71 (little too laggy), I wouldve gone with a 64/71, or a 62/74.

It must be a gear thing. I tow 16k-18k & never had trouble spooling a 62/71. I have 4.10's with 5 speed.
 
I agree the gears have the issue. If I am over 2000 it is plenty of to keep it cool.
