Turbo Intake?

Was wondering what everyone is running to for turbo intake? Rain cap on end of the turbo, pipe coming away from the turbo with a shut off on the end of it, gilutine shut off with intake going from turbo thru the right side headlamp assembly to atmosphere?

I'm assuming he is referring to which style of shut-off is popular for pulling trucks.

engineered diesel makes a slick unit tht you can incorporate with any 4 or 5" inlet setup
 
I have a 5in set up now but was wanting to know what is a better set up. Now it comes off the turbo with a 45* pipe with a giletine shut off and then a air filter. Was wondering if a shut off right on turbo intake was better or running to the atmosphere with a inline shut off. Hope that clears it up some.

also what kind of power are you making? and what are you looking to do that your current intake isnt doing?
 
5" rubber 45 degree elbow from intakehoses.com, hose clamps from the same place, 5" blast gate from ebay, a few springs and bolts, 5" inlet AFE airfilter and call it good.

My mess is crowded under the hood. The ED shut-off works well.

that's what I used. Put some bolts thru the center holes to mount long springs to. Also put a bolt thru the top of the gate portion and hook each spring to either side. It works fine for the money invested. There are much better shutoffs out there, like the ED piece which is very nice. But they come with a price.

yeah, i like good stuff but i like to do things for less as well. send me pics of yours if you can.
