im lookin around at turbo's that will be a good pulling turbo but still be mildy streetable. i found a garrett GT45 with a 65mm inducer, 99mm exducer on the compressor wheel and a 77mm inducer and 87mm exducer on the turbine wheel. its got a t4 1.05 turbine housing. how would that be for the 2.6 class?

I had a S465, T4 with .90 housing and it was a streetable set up...i liked it alot.

i know the turbine wheel wont give me the best top end.. but shouldnt be that bad considering ive seen quite a few guys run htt 66/74's and do fairly well.

I think it's a mismatch for what you're trying to do. It sounds like you've got a GT4594 which is a over-the-road truck turbo. The turbine will flow like mad, but the compressor wheel is quite small in relation.

A typical GT45 runs a 108mm comp wheel just fine. Which means, if you ever get it spooled, there will be no high end to look forward to.

Garrett supplies the performance market with a GT40 or GT42 turbine with that compressor.

A GT45 turbine is true 3" class level for heavily fueled, high rpm truck.

The 74mm you refer to on the HTT is the inducer or major diameter on the turbine. The difference between a 74 and an 87 is big.
