I am looking at buying a S300 turbo 62/65/12. Would this be a wise move? I am going to install injectors sometime after the turbo I'd like ddp 4's at max but i might go a little smaller. Thanks for the help guys.

What do you do with your truck?

IMO, a 65mm turbine wheel gets old FAST!

As for injectors, PM smokem for a set of injectors that are 100x better than DDPs overpriced incorrect injectors.

those injectors would be too big for that turbo, you would be much better off with 5x.012 injectors, and yeah, DDP are a waste of money

im running a 62/65/12 with 5x.012's and know 140's would be too big for it

I think DDP's are great injectors myself. They are pricey, but they are good injectors.

As for the turbo, what do you plan on doing with the truck?

You think marine 370's will perform as good as DDP4's?

We had DDP4's in Teddy Bear's pulling truck for a long time. They were smooth as butter and ran awesome even with 25* timing which should put them way out of the bowl if they are the wrong pattern.

I have never heard anything bad about the DDP's personally. They were a very clean, smooth, strong running injector from the dealings i had with them.

My truck is a daily driver / tow rig. I want to start workin my way into the pullin scene so that is the route i am building on.

DDPs are 370s EDMd and extrude honed with the popoff pressure set to 300bar.

That doesent mean that they arent good injectors though. Im not trying to argue with you, just saying that i do think they are good injectors even if they are a little overpriced.

12vAnthony- I think I would go with a 62/71/14 if i were you. Or if you go with the 62/65 go ahead with the 14cm housing at least.

Eric

Thanks. Yeah I will probably end up goin with somethin a little bigger so I can add a decent amount of fuel.

I ran DDP4s in my 97 and I personally thought for the money they werent the greatest.
With the DDP4s, high timing and lower compression, they sucked at starting in cold weather.
They haze just like a 370 with higher timing.

I install a set of Smokems injectors, and the truck runs like its stock, without any other changes, for half the price. They are also the correct spray pattern for our trucks, for half the price.

I have ddp2 injectors with a super b turbo on my 95 and got the ddps because all of the good feedback but they haze even with the afc tightened way up and hard cold start .I was going to try a 12cm ex housing on the super b since I can loosen up the afc with the stock hx35 or go with a 60mm wheel on the hx.Maybe it's the injectors?
