turbo?

OK I'm pretty new to diesel and I bought the truck in my signature I know with the big injectors its not made to tow at all I'm wondering what Turbo would be good for it its a daily driver and I want to be able to hook up to a trailer and haul IV got a rock Crawler and have to be able to get it from a to b just figured I would see what y'all think either a single Turbo or is there a good twin setup that maybe works with the stock Turbo the truck does have a j hook put on it and it will make a little over 40psi but that's if u really get into it

i ran a bd super b special (64-71-14)for years with ddp 240's and never had a problem towing. just keep the rpms past 2k and your golden.

IV tried several times with different key words just not having much luck searching
 
Maybe give the guys at engineered diesel a call, tell them what your goals are and they will set you up.
 
with the size of the injectors you have and towing a lot either find a set of twins or no bigger than a 64mm single.
 
IMO HX35/71mms(s400) would be great.... with the addition or head studs and a fire rung head.
 
OK the turbos that have been mentioned will those be just a bolt on or would there be alot of modified parts involved or aftermarket parts I am definitely planning on head studs and orings just trying to figure out how much all this will end up costing me and how much time will be involved to figure out if I could do it or if I just have other done I don't get much time off from work
 
If i remember right the "stocker" s3/400 set up is avalible from industrial injection for a reasonible price. they sell all the piping in a kit with almost everything you need to bolt it on. grant it yur going to have to ecspect a little bit of fab but nothing like making your own adapters to bolt a t3 to a t6 flange or anything crazy like that.
 
My turbo is an hy35 right or am I wrong keep in mind I said I was new to this
 
Does anyone know if an hx40 would work on my truck in sig or would I have problems with spool?
 
Summit is awesome. But id never get my big diesel power items there lol.

Its the internet I search for twins for a cummins and summit happens to sell a kit I was just asking what guys think about them obviously u have no input on them so stay out of the thread!

For what u have now i would think a 63-68 would be better than a hx40. That would be what i would put on it!
 
Thanks! Iv been talking to a guy that can build me up a 451 vgt and from what IV read on them they seem to be pretty nice anyone had any experience with these?
 
Im going to try a 351vgt but never seen a 451vgt in person. What size compressor wheel is he going to put in it?
