the turbo in my 01 dodge is stock, what size it? how should i go about making it bigger?

Stock is 56mm I think. No point in going bigger though unless you have bigger injectors.

With just a box and no more supporting mods, the stock turbo should be enough, plus without more fuel you will loose valuable spool up with a larger charger!

Exactly. Without bigger sticks, your better off with the stocker.

cant you buy just the intake side of a turbo for about $400? like rebuild it

Yup, you cab get a hybrid kit with a 60mm compressor wheel & housing from HTT although the bearing housing requires some machining to accomodate the larger compressor wheel.

Good if you need more air/exhaust temps too high, otherwise the extra boost is more air to compress without any extra power generated which gets you a net pumping loss.
