How do you guys like your s3/s4 twins? im thinking of running a pretty similar setup with my 62/80 ps thinking either a s471 or 475? what do you think? How laggy will it be? will the 71 be less laggy? Also do you think the gate on my phat shaft will handle it or do i need an external? Sorry for the questions just dont quite know what to do..
Thanks!!

I'd use a 475 with your 62 & the fueling you have. Should be a real fun daily driver & lay down some serious smack when you feel the need....

i LOVE my setup with the smarty.

without it is laggy to me and not as fun to drive.

def. go with the S475.

dont be sorry for asking questions, youll never get the right setup if you dont.

how do you define laggy?? it doesnt seem like your setup would be laggy at all

just driving around town it will be spooled by 1800-2K. with the smarty its easily 4-500 rpm sooner. this might not be much, but its huge in my truck.

i just know without the smarty im waiting on the chargers to spool and with it their waiting on me.

remember i came from a hy35 to heavily fuel 62 to this. i have a few more thing to do like, cam, springs, etc. these should all help with spool up as well

yea i drove my 66mm charger around with moderate fuel for about a year and never thought it was laggy until i put on the 62mm charger that i plan on running in a twins setup

it feels like the 62 spools faster in a twin setup, maybe cause i was overfueled before.

ive actually been thinking of finding a 64 to try out.

I think im going to try running the gate i have now on my 62/14, what are you guys setting your gates at on yur small chargers? mines set at about 50psi now. How much boost can i safely run with just studs?

im not surew where my wastegate is set at, im guessing around 18-20. i need to put some air on it to see.

not sure on the psi with studs, it varies. always warm up your truck before getting into it, this helps tremendously.
