I want to build a set of twins for my truck. What lay out can I do and keep a/c and trans heat exchanger? Any one have pics. I will be running a 64/71 and a s475 or s480.

AC is not an issue but the heat exchanger is an issue. Easiest thing to do is relocate/remove the exchanger.

64/80 when did you decide to R.V. full time? sounds like tow twins to me

Yeah kinda small for daily driving for how stupid I like to get.. You want me to do a k31 and a 106? or is that still towing twins?

Now thats closer to what I had in mind,:rockwoot: myself I'd like to try a 73/100 :nos:

I think that might work. How about you be a real pal and give me your old twins and ill give you a stock inercooler and a 64/71

You would do that for me? what a great guy, I might even let you sleep in my truck :hehe:

Have you checked out Brad Ponci's twins, thats the way I plan to go next time around, its nice to stuff the big one low next to the engine but I hate working on them that way, going to put them both up top next time and try to shorten the hot pipe as best I can.

Bench racers in heat. Somebody get a bucket of cold water to get them seperated.

Im going to act like half these post are not here....... I did look at brads, but im not sure if there is enough room to get around the ac. Im a fat kid and need my ac and as hard as I beat on my truck I need that heat exchanger.

re-route it or get an auxillary cooler...

I took mine off...trans. gets hot...but only when racing, or stuck in stop and go traffic.

now, waiting for aux. cooler

Chad You better run a 64/s475 at the least. I am running a 64/s480 on my 6.0 and they are towing twins for the dyno.:poke: By the way do you still want that turbo? I have been holding it for you if you don't want it I would like to try to get rid of it.

Go for the big ones

re route it

look out, here comes Ron with the water

Hmmmm... What do you have a 480? Wheels are turning.

I ran the heat exchanger all last season with no issues at all. The clearance wasn't a issue. The ac dryer is going to be a tight fit but can be done with little effert. I run a 5'' down pipe off the s480 witch is overkill as far as im concerend. If i was to do it over again i would run a 4'' to keep the velocity up for a ways and then change to 5''. Helps spoolup off the bottom charger. (swirll to turbulant air) Heres a few pics. Hope this will help your build.
