Ok, I did a search and didn't find anything on this. So, if I missed it and this is old, please point me in the right direction.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of U-Joint shields for my F-250? The TTTPA requires them, front and rear. I would prefer not to build them but to just buy them, anyone know where I might look?

Thanks guys

anybody could build them for you. i could build them for you but shipping would be alot. because of length. i'm sure a dist. or another repitable puller near you could help you out.

Thanks Duster. I think I have an idea on how to build them. You guys in here are extremely helpful and the pictures that many of you post are extremely helpful. I was just trying to do it the easy way.

I will probably start a new thread and post some pics of the process. That way I can get your guy's opinions and perhaps make the appropriate modifications from there.

ON a side note, how long are the shields that you use. It looks like most people are using shields that are about 6" long. Does that sound right to you?

I think you will be safe with these:

NADM street, and super street rule:

Driveshaft Loops: All trucks must have at least six inch wide ujoint
shields around the rear u-joint constructed of at least 1/4
inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the ujoint
and the end of the rear shaft. All shields must be securely
mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft u-joint that is visible
from the side of the truck must be shielded to contain the
u-joint and the end of the shaft. A new puller will be granted
a one-time waiver of this requirement, if the engine is not
equipped with a turbocharger with the inducer bore bushed
down to 2.8 inch.

NADM Modified rule:

Drive shaft Loops: All trucks must have at least six inch wide
u-joint shields around the rear u-joint constructed of at least
1/4 inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the
u-joint and the ends of each shaft. In addition there will be at
least one shaft loop in the middle of the drive shaft. All shields
must be securely mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft ujoint
that is visible from the side of the truck must be shielded
to contain the u-joint and the end of the shaft.

thanks Scott. The TTTPA rules that I'm trying to meet are basically the same.

I'm going to try to pick up everything I need tomorrow and maybe by the end of next week start fabbing something up. I will be posting some pics because I'm not 100% sure on it. I'm looking at mounting it a little different than what I have seen here but it seems to make since to me. So, when I start posting pics, if you guys don't think it will work, please let me know.

Sounds good, are they going to be streetable? here are some pics of Chris Suttons streetable ones, slide in and out on pipe.

These are 3/8" Aluminum I got tired of polishing them last year so I had them anodized red which will go well with my new color scheme.
