Am I getting this right? This chit that they are selling at the pumps now is not good for my 01 stroker? I live in Indiana and that is like all I ever see! What do I need to be running in my baby and where can I find it? What is this "#2" everyone keeps talking about and does it exist here inthe hoosier state? Thanks:bang
 
All diesel is ULSD now...and unless it's winter when you have the #1 blend up there...it's all #2.
Throw in some power Service or something if you want...but you'll be fine running it just the way it comes out.
 
#2 is just #2 diesel. That can describe low sulfur (500ppm) and ultra low sulfur (15ppm), or even the old high sulfur. Adding a fuel treatment (diesel power!, Power Service, Standydyne, etc.) will help restore the lubricity that is taken out by the process that removes the sulphur. That being said, even with the additive my truck has developed some louder injector sounds and I know ulsd has been linked to the o-rings in the filter drain housing leaking.
