I got a set of injectors from someone awhile back and had them setup (dont remember asking for this specific setup though) as a 5x.013 155* at 310BAR with a lot of needle lift work. and this is for a 2nd gen with small twins..
so they sat on a shelf for probably 5 years till my lazy a$$ got around to doing the work, and when I installed them they ran like total crap. idle speed was about the same but there was zero power for the first few hundred rpm then it picks up. and part-throttle loads like small hills make it smoke a bunch.
my experience with shifting the pop pressure up like that, even if you compensate with timing in the other direction is it runs like crap. and then needle work too, which I think makes the injection window longer (?). make any sense?
can anyone think of a setup these injectors would work well in? or should I toss the nozzles and get some 5x.014s for this tow pig?
