Here is an interesting question. I see a lot race cars running larger turbos that have the compressor inlet bushed down to the size that hey need to pass tech inspection for there class of racing. i am wondering if i could insert a bushing in the compressor inlet of my silver bullet 66 to a 62 to help with street manners and spoolup. Would this make the turbo act like a silver 62?

You're still going to have the larger turbine section of the silver bullet but if it helps, I am pretty sure I have a good used wheel and 2nd gen 62 cover that could be put on there. Then there is always new parts available as well. Take your 66 wheel and cover and stick em in a box for later or post em up on here for sale. Chris

Mine used to be a 66 and i swapped a wheel and housing down to a 62

I guess I should have elaborated... bushing it down still leaves you with the mass and the compressor map of the 66 comp wheel, you just cripple it with a restriction... will a 66 bushed down to 62 move more air than a 62? yes, but it won't spool like a 62... or a 66!

yeah, it will be laggier than it is now if you do that.

thank guys. i am going to be cutting back the power as i now need my truck for my daily driver/ towing . i have taken off the dragon flow and the 6 x .018 are out. I was in the process of fitting a common rail head on my truck when things changed at my work so i have decided to continue with the head swap and run my 130 horse injectors with my drag comp. I had a brand new 028 pump on the shelf that i put on and I am trying to get a turbo that will work awsome for towing and daily driving with this power. I talked with cody at industrial and it was very inexspensive to turn my 66/74/14 bullet into a 62/74/14. But is this still a little big now. Your ideas would be appreciated. This will stay a daily driver and tow rig from now on. The parts are for sale if anyone is interested. The parts have less than 500 km on them.Dragon flow, silver bullet 66 and 6x.018 injectors with SAC nozzle
