anyone use the stock chevy motor mounts (clam shell type) in a cummins swap and how do they last, I am building mounts and it looks as if using the stock chevy ones will be about as easy as using the first gen dodge mounts.. BTW its a 95 gmc...
get the Energy Suspension poly inserts i just did that on an el camino cummins swap and worked pretty good just got to get some miles on it to actually see.
we took mine and modified the actual mount that bolts to the motor (ones off the original 6.5) we set the motor and just whittled away at them til we liked the angle and then welded some tabs on to them and the flat plate steel that we bolted to the motor. mine have held up so far no issues not the best looking ones but they have held up to the abuse i have put them through. holding approx 500 ponies while playing
