Hey I was just wondering if there is any difference between the 47re behind a v10 and behind a cummins? Im pretty sure the torque converter is different, but thats all i know about them.

I know they're pretty similar, and the TC will swap but has a different stall. I can't tell you specific differences. I don't even know if the bell housing is the same.

Trans will bolt to engine. Plugs are the same.

Ok good deal, ill have to get a tcm for it or a manual valve body. I plan on running it in my truck

I think you will need the harness to match. Is this for your '96? I'm on my phone and can't see what you are putting this in.

The 12v trucks had the tcm integral with the 'engine' computer I think. So, an auto computer and harness would set you right, plus a tps. Unless you got with the 'pot mod.'

I read a little more. Conversion on the ford. Best bet might still be an auto harness with comp.

Thats what i was thinking too, ive never swapped a auto into a manual before. This is gonna be a slow project as im about to buy a house. Plus I only want to do it once

I could be wrong but I thought the weights and springs in the OD section were differant too.
