Not in a Ferd, but I've used Valvoline Premium Blue (non-synthetic) since 1999. This is my second dually with it and have had no issues....other than the motor leakin' it.

Runs good in the warmer climates. The 5w-40 synthetic runs a little better in the cold climates.

Thanks for the info. I just don't feel comfortable running synthetic because I don't put a lot of miles on my truck in a months time and don't like the same oil being in the truck for close to 6 month. If I was to extend my oil change intervals like they say u can with synthetic

I have ran it for about 3 or 4 months now.....use to run Amsoil Series 3000....I'll prolly go back to the Amsoil...
