Valve lashing?....does this really work?

math or no math i like to be precise, though i may try that way then measure it to see if it works first hand.

I think I'll stick with my feeler gauge.... Not like it kills you to take an extra few minutes to do it right.

I have always used a feeler gauge but there is no reason why going by turns wouldn't be right and just as precise.

If it nets the same results, then it seems like an equally right method.

Its like turning bolts/nuts a certain number of degrees to get the desired tension, instead of using a torque wrench. Its arguably more accurate than a torque wrench.

it would be as equally correct if you had a degree wheel to tell exactly how far youre turning and youd need to know youre rocker ratios were perfect which they usually are not, at least in gassers. they are off as much as 1/10th of their ratio in stamped rockers.
