The metal orings keep coming off I found peices of one today when I had the cover off then I noticed another that was loose from the seal couldnt realy do much with it , the machine shop said they never seen a diesel do it , its done this b4 I found 3 that was done smahed and laying in the corner of the head .. Do I have to run the metal orings?

they are junk. i had them coming apart too. i gave up on them. ive heard that some places when building a high performance race/pull motor dont even put the seals on the exhaust stems. all they are there for is to keep il from running down the valve stem.
