valve spring instal

well you need the special tool to do it first off---with the head on you need to make sure piston is up so the valves don't drop into the cylinder---get some extra nuts for the tool before you start---I used a wire to double check--just removed each injector and put the wire in---if I remember correctly you can do half at TDC and the other half at BDC, but you better double check that---

head off no issues--would be easier, but it's not necessary---chris

thats what i tought would it be worth the hassle of taking the head off?? or just leave it on and make shure you dont drop a valve?

IMO to remove the head to just install springs isn't worth the hassle---better to do it in the while it's on--just take your time and use the wire trick to double check TDC and you'll be ok---chris

or take it off ahve it oringed and checked out then ut the springs in while its off. but if o rings isnt in your future then id say do it like sutton said
