ve afc problem

Ihave a new genset motor my class is installing into a buggy. Weremoved the afc spring looking for more smoke. made no differince in smoke levels. i remover the fuel pin and ran the motor. the lever that contacts the fuel pin berly moves. what could cause the lever to stick?

Your going to need go ahead and study up a bit, not to many here are going to hold your hand through the most basic stuff....

I have searched all over for what the problem could be. i dont know what other peaple have done to this pump. Has someone has ran into this before? when i say moves i mean the lever berly protrudes into the barol

Try lubing it with pb blaster or the like down in the bore. Or remove the afc housing and reseal it.

I ended up taking the throttle linkage off, removing the allen plug behind the follower and pushing it free. Works great now.
