Looking for a VE pump with timing gear, case and cover. Would prefer from an intercooled 1st gen.

Doing a VE swap on my '02 24V.

A non-intercooled pump, with the longer delivery valve holders, will mate up better.
If you use the OEM lines, just use over-length (so you can cut to size later) 14mm O/D helicoils to reduce the thread down.
It's tricky to do, but I have done it by relaxing the helicoil with heat.
This is done by threading the helicoil into a 14mm mag-style lug nut, then heating it to red hot then letting it cool.

Then you remove it from the nut, clip the lock tab out of it, then re-size the helicoil to the length you want, then thread it into the line nut, with a small dab of red loctite and you're done.

It's really not as involved as it sounds.
Fortunately there's only 6 to do. LOL

A word of advice, advance the pump gear a tooth and run the pump all the way retarded (towards the fender).
You need to do so because the VE linkage will hit the head, even with clearancing.

As it is, the pump will only advance about halfway on the slots.

Mark.
