VE to P-pump questions

Just got most of the parts needed to swap a p-pump onto a 92 CTD. Just wondering if a 2nd gen throttle cable will work in a 1st gen? I can already see that I will need a 2nd get TV cable for the trans, that's obvious and should fit no questions asked. But if the 2nd gen throttle cable doesn't fit, then where are you guys sourcing the required throttle cable???

The 2nd gen throttle cable will fit. Also you need a 2nd gen TV lever to go on your trans to work with the 2nd gen linkage.

Cool, that's what I wanted to hear... I thought I would need a TV lever too, no biggie; I've got a couple at the shop

The throttle cable fits right in idk wat most the guys do about hooking it in the pedal but i just cut a small slit in it just enough to put the cable through it
