Virgin untouched 180 pump off of a 12v that was in a military tug truck. 16,000 original miles. Truck had other driveline issues non-related to the engine and everything got parted. Can text/email pics to you. 419-966-6321. My name is Chris. I also have a set of full cut delivery valves and a 4k gsk I will be including in the sale. Asking $1,600 obo. No trades

And feel free to make an offer guys. Wanting to get into a 6.4 to have as a tow rig. If my price is way out of range just let me know

Its wayyyyy wayyyyyyyyy out of range lol. That's what a 12mm pump goes for. A good price would be around $700-$800 if you want to sell it anytime soon

It is a 12mm pump... Might be a little high since its never been benched though.

Ok, did more research and am going to say $1,100 obo now. Seems more reasonable since it's a super low mile pump.

True, however tug trucks have super low miles but typically higher than average hours per mile.

Do you have any way of proving mileage? What about an hours reading from the truck it came out of?

Unfortunately I have neither anymore. The rest of the truck got scrapped but I have a few people on here that will vouch for me and tell you that if I say it has 16,000 it really does. And like zstroken stated it probably is a fairly high hour reading because it was in a tug truck but still would not compare to the hours on a pump with 100,000 I would say

Nice thing about the tuggers if most of them follow a pretty good maintenance program.

I see 10 to 15 of them in an hour some nights and I can't say I've ever seen one pulling more than 2000 pounds (very rare), and they can't exceed like 5 mph if they are towing. they've got a pretty easy life other than having to stop and be restarted every time they get out of the vehicle.

There's a formula somewhere that figures average ground speed into hours based on mileage.
I recall doing it on the 1stgen tugs and came up with a 70,000 mile unit having idle hours equivalent to something like 300,000 miles.

IMO, idling is harder on them than driving them, repeated shutdown and re-fire is even worse.

Mark.
