vp compound question?

Im pretty green when it comes to the diesel world. I am trying to figure out which turbos and injectors to use? I am looking to put a 475/83/1.1 with a hx35 for now. Is this a good combo or is there something that would work better? Also what injectors to use? The truck is mainly a tow truck but once in a wile I would like to play on the street. im open to suggestions. I would like to see 700hp some day.

2000 Dodge cummins, sovp, quadzilla, built trans with 1800 stall, htt intercooler.
 
That would be a good budget friendly combo. There is always something that is better. contact weston shupe for injectors. 700hp is hard to do with the vp
 
Good choice on the primary, i'd look for a small s300 secondary though...if you use it to tow a lot i wouldnt go too big with injectors..

I was going to see how the 75/83/1.1 performed with the hx then maybe go to a s300g and have my 75 built to a 92/1.1.

Im torn on this maybe the s300g with the 75/92/1.1 would be a better set up? I would like to be spooled rather low in the rpm range.

The smaller turbine on the primary will be better. I agree with the other comments...maybe get a 57-62mm s300 or you could get an he351 off a 3rd gen to use as a secondary.

PM "smokem" (Weston)

anything from a 7x.010 SAC to a 7x.012 SAC or a 6x.013 SAC would be great with that combo.

for the primary you would likely want a 75/88/1.10ar

secondary I would go with either a 57/65/14 or 57/65/12

if you want 700hp from a vp44, you will need a 62 for the secondary, 6x.013s and the head completely gone through...port/polish, intake hogged out or milled off in favor of side ram intake... intake horn, etc... every little bit helps...it is doable on the SOVP, just takes more work than bolt on mods and it will be out of fuel at that point.

Def stick with the smaller turbine/housing. I run the cheap 75/96/1.32 and its a laggy ***** for a twin setup... I'm prob gonna pull it this winter and go to a smaller turbine/housing.
 
I installed a 60/68/12 over an s475/87/1.1 on a friend's 2nd gen. Mach 7's, SO pump, edge drag comp. Absolute blast to drive! Good all around combo. Can tow 10k lbs and have fun at the strip.
