My VP has hated hot starts in the summer for the last 2 years..... Yesterday it took me about 5 tries to get the damn thing to fire at Wal-mart on the way home from work. I think the old girl is chitting the bed....finally.

So for now, she is in the VP nursing home waiting to croak. I guess I have some calls to make today huh? LOL

yea. Thankfully it made it that long for you. Keep plenty of fuel in it until you are ready to replace, mine seems weaker when the tank is lower.

don't feel bad....mine quit on the way to work on Monday morning....2 hr wait for a tow truck and a $300 bill to get back to my shop :bang

ordered a new one from Blue Chip.....should be here in a few days

Scott...What made you go with a Bluechip pump? Just curious. Because of all the buzz around the Monster VP, I figured you would've picked one of those up.

I am still on the fence on the Monster pump.....mine is a DD so i need it to work all the time.....maybe down the road i'll look at a M/P after more testing. JMO

Graphic Man are you going with the standard Blue Chip pump or the one thats bumped up a little.

I'd be interested to see how your truck runs, with the new pump and adrenaline. Would like to get mine on the rollers also. Going to call Livernois Motorsports they are right by my house. Dyno-Jet 248.

90k tapped and beat to piss. The pump has been on the truck for 4 1/2 years.

mine was org with a little over 200k and tapped for the last 4-5 years. and sill pulled 623hp with Mach 6's and a drag comp....now the 7's , ARD , new pump a few little things .....going back to see how much better it is now

Have you tried, after it does not start hot, leaving the key in On, and after LP stops running, popping the hood and bleeding off a bit of fuel out of filter housing? Mine starts right up if I do that.
P.S. Which I think means that LP pressure is too high at start up).

I'm only at about 18 at idle, and it is getting progressively worse. I think it is just my time LOL
