2000 vp 4x4 with 195k on it.
i have been struggling with my this truck for quite some time i am out of ideas.

i get the MAP p0237 and the truck is low on power. starts and idles fine. no smoke. stock truck.

it has had 3 different MAP sensors, swapped the 235 pump out of a 160 pump to diagnose the VP's plug and computer, air TEmp, ecm, pcm, lift pump and the truck runs the same.

then a few days ago i did some MORE reading and i cleaned the c130 connector and found a small piece of wood/ dirt in the PCM plug #1. cleared the codes and the truck ran fine... no CEL no codes. just a little low on power so we decided to swap the VP back to the 235 pump. ran great. no codes....

i thought the job was behind us then started the truck up the next day and got a CEL and the 0237 was back.. truck is low on power again but still runs fine.

scan tool shows
MAP volts = .57 +/-
IAT volts = 1.84v
Manifold absolute press. = .2 inHg
i have noticed that the MAP reading doesnt always show up on the scan tool and it has old banks gauges that appears to read boost from MAP

i have also read "bigiron" commented about voltage on the oil pressure circuit affecting MAP voltage??????

p 0237 code need major help!!!!! - Dodge Diesel - Diesel Truck Resource Forums

oil pressure shows 15 psi @ idle @ 1.67v on the evo tool.

i only have about 2 hairs left to pull out :nail:

just went for a ride with the scanner....

4.2 on the map @ 1.9v @ WOT.

the c-130 plug is underneath the fuse distribution box. when it is loose/ dirty is it is responsible for all kinds of electrical mayhem.
