VP44 Bolt Break

The other day a bolt head broke off of the vp44 on my truck. It's just underneath the fuel return line and it looks like it holds a spring in. I have no problems working on my truck whatever the problem might be, but breaking into the injector pump is another story. If anybody could help me out on this one that would be great thanks.IMG_20130411_194845_959.jpg
 
You're going to need to fix that. Bad news if the regulator is cocked.
 
Yea I didn't think it was going to be good news. What exactly is it thats behind this plate?
 
Timing piston attached to cam ring. Then couple springs and block for timing advance.
 
No it's fine to remove. Best to tighten each side evenly. Relube orings.
