i thought this video was pretty cool so i figured i would put it up here, the first few miniutes are boring but it gives a good inside view on the componets of the pump

Nice vid. It helps understanding whats inside that thing. Although now i want to know what parts are modified in a "hot rod" pump, is it just the metering valve and the delivery valves, or are there other parts they change. Also, when you tap the wire on a VP, is it the one going to the timeing control valve?

i belive the industrial injection hot rod pumps just have a different FPCM i could be wrong but i do know that they only benifit from certian programers, i know that the monster pumps have internal work done to them who knows whats done to them though

The dragon fire pump which is the competition with mikes monster pump I know has a different cam. They went through ten pumps before they figured out there own cam. I heard they were pushing the pumps so hard that they were literally blowing up the pumps due to how aggressive the first cams were. FYI all this info came from one of the engineers at ii I just can't remember the name of the engineer that I talked to.

Wire tap goes to the fuel solenoid, allows the box to take over and hold it open longer than the ECM will per injection event.

i would like to see all the stuff that ii does to the dragon fire compared to monster pump mikes pump

Ya I ment cam ring sorry. Call them if you don't believe me. Just a FYI any company that makes parts has an engineer. It may be someone that don't have a degree as an engineer but if they design n do R n D on it...that is what an engineers job is. But I'm sure ii has engineers with degrees so it should be pretty legit.
