vp44 pump tap broke

ok well the pump tap on my vp44 broke the whole wire was in two piece anyone ever have this happen so i took it off the truck soldered it has anyone done this will it still run? the truck shut down

get a positap : Posi-Tap- No Crimp Tap

or the solder should be fine.

Should run just fine.
rivercat's Positap looks pretty good too.
I butt spliced soldered and double heat shrink insulated the power wiring to my lift pump nearly 6 years ago w/no problems.

If you've got it off the truck and on the stand, now is the time to solder in a weather proof plug connector and heat-shrink it. It will never be easier to do than right now.

When my VP went out, I chose to do this rather than use the stealth cover again. I'd trust a proper solder with full access to the wire while on the bench over the stealth cover any day.

k ya i fixed it but i talked to this one pump builder and he said its trashed now rotor was siezed cause wire broke while i was driving and it shut the truck off. so now i not sure if this pump going to work. has this happened to anyone?
