I am in need of a SO vp44, can some one please help me.
I have a Red Quad Cab 3/4 4x4 5 speed, it's been broke down since Nov. because I can't afford a new pump, would love to put a new on it, but that won't happen any time soon

VP44 pump store has them brand new for 950....

Used you won't find them less then 400 even with high miles usually.

I'd get an upgraded one from blue Chip diesel and read the articles he has there while you're at it. Lots of good info.
 
I got mine from TheDieselStore on ebay. Good folks, had the best price at the time and they put a hold on my debit card for the core instead of charging it and then refunding. Not that it matters, but it was convenient because I didn't have to worry about my refund.

I installed it myself, and it was incredibly easy. I had some trouble getting it to start again, but it usually helps if you plug all the electrical stuff back in. Doh! Pump works great, I didn't realize how gutless the truck was with the dying pump until the replacement. Runs like a scalded ape now, and starts SOOO much better.

Worth every penny. Customer service was top notch from them.
 
Thanks to everyone, yall have been helpful in the quest of finding a pump... I have one on the way......YAY!!! I miss my truck......even tho hubbies truck is a dodge, I just love mine a whole lot more... both our trucks are red 3/4 diesels 4x4's 5speed, his single mine quad, mine will hit 115mph and his only 87mph, but his truck is the old style.... which is good money wise......mine pulls a loaded gooseneck pretty good too....Now my 16yr will love the stops at the red lights again and me gettin a jump on the chargers.....lol, it's all abt TIMING n DRIVING

now just make sure you keep enough fuel to this one to keep it alive.
 
yes, hubby fixed that problem a while back, it was just a little to late for the life of the pump, but truck has almost 200,000miles on it.
