Waste Gate Problems

Okay with my POD's and my Silver 62 the truck ran around 52-54psi, had pretty good spool up. Put in my 6x16's, pegged the 60psi gauge, spool up was OK.

Pulled the turbo off to turn down the waste-gate, leaghtened the rod about 7 turns (was told this should drop me around 14psi). Now spool up SUCKS!!! It does OK to about 14psi then it starts to get real smokey and the spool up stops, I assume this is were the waste gate is starting to open now. Problem is it still boosts to 50psi! take it a couple seconds to get there but it still goes up... WTF!!!

I want my OK spool up back and around 45psi. I'm afraid if I shorten the rod some more I'll get my spool back but still be pushing 60psi.

Thoughts?

Get in there and port the wastegate ports.

Yeah I was kinda thinking that I'm just overrunning the wastegate, Im only at 3200rpm though... So I'm I right in assuming that the waste gate is now opening WAY to early and the high boost I'm getting to is just that the waste gate being overloaded?

Any one have any tips on porting the wastegate?
