Water/ injection for EGT’s & winter/freezing?

Hi I have a 89 Cummins non-ic that I was playing with the idea of adding a water injection system to tame EGT’s. I know most people doing this run water/meth mix which would prevent freezing but is there anything that has been done to prevent pure water from freezing that is engine safe?

(The truck will not be used for towing)

I ran washer fluid which gets around the freezing problem.

As you know, air to air intercooler is the no maintenance solution.

Methanol is cheap as ****. Windshield washer fluid too. Some are potent.
