i keep hearing different things about water meth, some guys say its not safe same guys say it is one of the best mods to do, what are some f your guys take

If you are hitting scary exhaust temps, it's a must. Otherwise no real benifit other than it can keep the carbon build up down. What are you putting it on?

You know, I rode one of them hopped up YZF450s the other day. Iiiiiiiii liked it. Hard to hold on though.

sorry i got to get a sig up, right now i have a full exhaust, intake, ppe hot ET,
a fass system is coming for christmass, but i am working on a ats stage 2, (with in the next 3 months the ats that is) duel cp3, also b4 next pulling season i need to beef up the front end, i want to pull with "full pull production", then i was going to add the water meth kit last,

so u like the yfz i have a 05, mine is pritty well done up exhaust, cams, carb rejet and plates, cdi box, a bunch of other stuff 2, i have about 13 to 14k into it including the quad, i love it tho, i going to sell to get a new 1 next year, thay are going to have a efi yfz with a all allumin frame, it runs so well tho i am going to hate to sell it, anyways thats how i got the nick name, i was the first guy on the block to have 1 when they came out, and my buddies would bust me and say hes Mr.yfz, it was funny tho, you know

Water is pretty safe, just be careful not to inject it at too low of a boost level, this can cause hydro-locking.

You will know when you have too much water/not enough atomization if the engine stutters/sputters at 100% injection.

I'd recommend the 220PSI pump upgrade so you can run several nozzles and get the ultimate cooling effect.

50/50 on my 03 dodge gave me 45hp. i never sprayed a higher concentration. i had a snow kit.

what do u run 30% meth and 70% water, as that is the most common found washer mix or is that to high or at the point i will be at can i spray higher, i not to familer with the water meth system,

I have run the blue stuff, which is about that same percentage, and had good luck with it.
Last time I used methanol I had it at about a 60 methanol/40 water concentration, but you need to be careful as hot egt's coupled with methanol can equal melted pistons.

For ultimate reliability, I would just stick with the blue stuff and nothing stronger.

We have tried several setups with multiple nozzles in multiple locations, without any gains in hp or loss in egt. In fact, nearly every dyno run came in with a hotter egt with water. So hot that things caught on fire.

You must be doing something wrong then, unless it doesn't work on the duramax, I know it works on the Cummins.

You will get max cooling at approx 12 to 15 percent meth, more so then striaght water. I wouldn't recomend going over 50% if you mix your own and you can also buy the boost juice.

On my Brothers 97 12valve there was no noticable difference on the road in power, infact other than the EGT's beening cooler you would never know it was working. We tried everything from straight water to the 50/50 mix and no difference. Now when he pulled with the 220psi snow kit power felt like it was up from when he pulled without it and the EGT's were down below 1600 going down the track compared to being totally pegged.

i have a snow.. about 200 degrees cooler and no hp gain on dyno never added meth on dyno but on the street did a coule of times 50/50 may be a little hp gain but it still dropped egts
