I am in the process of installing a 6.7 cummins in an 81 Chevy crew cab. I would like to use a water to air cooler instead of trying to make a air to air fit. I am concerned with the water becoming heat soaked. Has anyone used this set-up on a daily driver?

There are threads on it already. Would be way easier to use air to air

from phone

Can you tell me where those threads are located? Sorry, i'm fairly new here.

Thats just a quick thread title search without any parameters.

There are lots of OEM water to air coolers used, especially in ag or construction situations. They are plumbed into the cooling system. The disadvantage is you wont be cooling the intake charge below the engine coolant temp.

Unless you put a second radiator in just for the cooler.
