Weather adjustment

I hear some talking about weather hurting the performance of your truck, if someone could shed some light on this for me, and how much its affecting it...as in 20hp or 50 or just wont run at all? And what your doin to try and adjust with the weather, im a sled puller and im trying to figure out how to try and adjust due to weather if im going to have that problem
