I looked and couldnt find much info on this, so if there is already a thread im sorry.

I was trying to find info on a reciever for my weight rack. I know some just use the front reciever hitches that are sold for our trucks. I am leaning more toward a dual reciever style weight rack. Just for more stability and balance reasons. So I was wanting to see how some of you guys with 2nd gens are doing your setups? Or are most just using the single style reciever?

I was just curious because most of the recievers I found to buy only have like a 500lb hanging weight. I plan on hanging about twice that or more and didnt figure that would cut it?

So if any of you have some pictures of your actual recievers it would be great. Or any info/ideas are appriciated.

Thanks,
Travis

We have had 1200 pounds on a single receiver for most of the summer pulling. We would even leave it on when trailering the truck. Don't be scared of the 500 pound rating there has to be tons of safety in that rating.

Alright sweet. I was just afraid a single would kinda teader too much and maybe break? But sounds like it works great. Thanks alot! Any luck naming the truck?

'97, did you just take a front reciever and weld a secont one to it? Or did you buy that somewhere?

I bought the front hitch then welded a piece of 2 1/2 by 1/4 wall square to it for my second slug on my weight bracket to slide in, Then drilled my hole for my pin :).
