Ok, for the last few weeks I have been having this intermittent problem. Sometimes when I go to turn the key the lift pump will not kick on for the first second or two as it usually does. This results in it not coming on at all when the truck is started when this happens. Sometimes it will work just fine, usually after a period of sitting for a couple minutes. When it does come on for the first few seconds it functions perfectly just like normal for the rest of the time that the truck is running. I hadn't been able to nail it down to any one thing because I couldn't tell if what I was checking (grounds, connectors, etc.) was helping the problem. It seems that it likes to do it when the motor is warm but will also do it when it is cold. Will do it with adrenaline plugged in or unplugged. Up until to day it wouldn't kick the lift pump on at first but I could bump it and get it to come on, start the truck and then all is well. Now not even bumping it will get it to run. I have figured out that when this happens the hot wire from the ECM is energizing the relay to kick the pump on. This leads to believe that it is either in the wiring from the deutsch connector to the ECM or my ECM is going bad. No codes other than the p0251, p0252, and p0237, but those are due the to the 4k adrenaline. Tomorrow after work I am going to trace down where the wire comes from at the ECM and test it there but if anybody else has any ideas let me know; I'm ripping my hair out trying to figure it out. Running a FASS hpfp 95 for a lift pump.

First things first, get it to do it and see if you have enough voltage to the relay, if that is the case, replace the relay. DC is hell on relay contacts.

Relay has already been replaced in an effort to fix it. When this happens power is not getting to the relay. I missed a "not" in my first post where it says power is getting to the relay when it happens.
Got the same pump and same problem I still havnt figured it out either??

That's good to hear I'm not the only one. At this point I'm ready to wire in a bypass switch just so I don't get stuck somewhere unable to get home

ok, well I guess I'm going to wire in a bypass switch for now while I track down an ecm.
