welding the tubes

i have heard people welding them to keep it from twisting just whats your thoughts on it and has anyone done it? and may pics
 
welding tubes

im getting ready to weld mine front and rear ive seen the tubes pull out of dana 80 and ssen them twist on 3rd gen rear ends. dont weld them solid though.im welding mine 2in then skip 1in or 2in then weld again jmo:Cheer:
 
thats what i was thinking not welding them all the way but just like that but never heard the front axle doing that
 
The proper way would to have it in a jig. if you put to much heat to it it will walk/bend. I've seen it done. i had an 8 3/4 dodge rear that was bent and was going to put a back brace on it. well the jig would not fit so i started welding getting it hot and it walked right over into spec. all was well then. just my thought. p.s if it does get out of wack you will go through bearings.
