I got the truck back up and running, but when i was torquing the exhaust bolts i touched the Alternator and it arked! yeah like a dumbass i didn't unhook batt cables, but anyways the truck wasn't charging so i found that i blew the Alt 140amp fuse, so i tried to put a jumper in there just to get me home, and the damn thing caught on fire!

Is there another problem now that caused this, or do i just need the correct fuse to make it right?

My guess is the jumper was on the thin side. How bad is the melt job you did on the fuse holder? I would try a new fuse and see how it goes.I had a pc of steel fall down on my starter and it was running for 3 or 4 min until i jabbed it out no harm done.I was driving and seen the volts go way way down.

it was actually a turbo flange gasket i cut out real quick to see if it would get me by the actual fuse box caught fire and melt some of the quadzilla wires and possibly some of the main harness wires! honestly i don't know i was to frustrated, I just left the truck at the shop until after christmas! but i know there is a hole in the fuse lid and some wires look melted

Factory Service Manual.

For Print go to Geno's, they were $85 the last I checked and well worth it.

yes sounds good! it turned out not as bad as i thought repaired a few wires on the quad and amp wire and it was good as new!

anyone know where to find a FLB 140amp fuse online? I can't seem to find it to order

the local dealer shut down, so i was just gonna order it
napa only has a 120

The dealer is the only place I have found them, but I haven't looked in a while.
