Just got done with teh 89 1st gen with the VE still on it...

426.94HP 766.30TQ Corrected w/ Nitrous

Cleaned up the 6x16's very nice. I think the tranny is hurt though and not passing any power.... Everybody said the truck sounded and look like it made more... Oh well...

Yeah TQ is pretty darn low....what kind of trans you running? What was your bottle pressure?

727 with Goerend Convertor. Bottle was around 900-1000psi

Got some pics... You can see it cleans teh 6x16's well. Looks like its making a ton more power then its putting down. I'll have video later.

See if the dyno operator can give you an RPM vs MPH graph, that way you can calculate your converter (hopefully not trans) slip percentage. All you do is take your actual rpm per mph and divide it by your theoretical rpm per mph with your gearing and tire height.

i say congrats on the #,s, its hard to get high hp #,s out of a 1st gen with an auto on a REALISTIC dyno. 300 hp at wheels is more power than many realize. these trucks only made 135 rwhp stock on a good day. however i definately think your trans. is leaving alot on the table. a good i/c helps too. at a dyno day i went too in utah a cool 1st gen with almost identical mods and a ats built trans an t/c put down 270 hp, my truck w/ 5spd and descent clutch put down 364. people throw around 400hp # alot in 1st gen discussion but it takes alot of high rpm fuel to get it, i think you need a quik spooling turbo or twins to light quik and take advantage of ve pumps low rpm fueling. also i think there are alot of " generous" dyno,s out there whene i see trucks with simular mods make 400 hp i kind of wonder. hopefully you can get more power too the ground. i enjoyed you posts on this event. any numbers from other trucks?

The correction factor was really high today. Everyones #s were really low uncorrected. But there was a really good turn out, lots of trucks and friendly people. Did anyone do the tug a war?

BIGPOWER I mean this in a good way really. I hope you dont take offence. I am a staff member on the "competition" site. I have posted MANY links over to here to help my members. You cater to a different group then we do. Its that simple. I'm sorry I offended y'all and I really fell bad that the links had to be removed. I didn't see it as a problem. It wont happen again. I guess I have this crazy vision of a world where people get along with out all that BS but thats me, I always see the silver lining. Thanks guys and it wont happen again.

On another note thanks to all who came out. We had 33 trucks run on daves dyno and I'm pretty sure everyone had fun!
