My son's freind just had some serious issues with his truck, after a bit of telephone diagnosis I have figured that it is injectors. So I set out to find him a good set of injectors,,, but then his cousin calls him and says,,," I have a bunch of brand new injectors with 40HP tips on them for $100 each" Im thinking to myself, this is either the deal of the century or the biggest scam of the year.... Is there chinese knock off injectors?

Tell me your first thoughts about this
 
this reminds me of the jammer nozzles on ebay a while back. Are they for the right year?
 
i only payed $400 for 5x.018s shipped...that dosnt seem cheap... idk about knock off injectors tho, others will chime in.
 
Cores are typically $100/injector right? I'd have them checked out for that price to ensure they are operating correctly. it might be worth the gamble.

I have a set for my 04.5 with stock tips that need an over haul on some, others may be ok, for sure a cleaning. I can sell you for $600-ish to a good home.

I'm still thinking of having them gone though and have as a set of spares vs selling, that's a big expense to have sitting around tho. :)
 
Yes these are for a Common Rail... supposedly this guy is telling my sons freind that they are OEM rebuilts. I am just trying to find out if it is stock tips of not...
 
There is cheap knock off tips. Monarch makes them, if that is what they are tell him to run from that deal.
 
i picked up a set with stock tip and 50k miles ran fine when pulled for $575 shipped. i know garmon charges like 30 bucks an injector to test them.
