What got in my bearing?!

Pulled my engine apart this week (05 CR)

Found some thing nasty on my crank and the bearing had some weird wear. The other 5 crank surfaces look perfect. All cylinders look great.

Just figured someone would throw there opinion on what happened.

A chunk of dirt fell in the oil filter when it was installed?

Cut open the filter and look.
Also check the spray nozzles in the mains. They will trap.

i have seen this in engines that do alot of sitting ( dry starts )

my 12v was that way but a lot worse than yours. i didnt have any damage to the crank just large gouges in the bearings. after some discussion with a few people, we figured i had around 300k miles of use and abuse on the engine. was also told that it was cause by some debris in the oil.
