What is this?

Whatever this thing is holds the brush holder, has the positive and negative wires going to the posts, and is bolted to the back of the alternator. I am in dire need of this part because one of the studs broke off. I need to know that it is so it will be easier for me to find. I am also willing to buy this part off anyone who has a junk alternator laying around. Thanks

Looks like the voltage regulator/bridge rectifier.

Voltage regulator I believe is in the PCM. I google imaged a bridge rectifier but for the specific alternator and found some things that had the same shape but wasnt it. I should have specified that it was a 136 amp alternator for a '97.

It appears to be the rectifier, but depending on the alternator it could be part of the voltage regulator.
