My buddy has an 04 CR cummins and is wondering what he needs to make around 450-500 horse something he can daily drive and drag race. it already has a FASS pump and a bigger TC and shift kit. He was mainly wondering what kind of injectors and turbo ( if needed) i would think he would need a bigger cp3 pump for that kind of power? any help is much appreciated oh and he has a juice with attitude i believe.

pretty sure you can get there with just a smarty and mp8. cold air intake and a small cp3 upgrade and you'll be there for sure.

Stock Turbo will be hot at that level. Is it 04 or 04.5?

If it was me:

Studs
Smarty (Use the juice just for gauges)
62/65/12 Turbo
STG 1 CP3 Kit from II or Floor IT or Wicked or Whoever.

A set of 50hp injectors would be nice depending on the age and condition of his stock ones.

Also If he wants to drag race much it is a good idea to get the billet shafts in the Transmission and a stronger build than what he has.

I did 463 rwhp with a slipping clutch through 38" tires...

Smarty TNT on sw7
Full 1/2" Fuel System with a walbro pump
4" magnaflow exhaust
open paper filter

It's pretty easy to get in the 450 rwhp area. Everything else is pretty much stock.

I cant see ever going smaller than a 62/71/13 charger, I've run larger and still had EGT problems, in that same HP range. For you a 62/71/13 should be perfect though for 500hp!!

with a tranny, Smarty and EZ he can get between 450-500 and with all stock parts, it takes quite a bit more after that point.
