whats up i have a 05 lly duramax and i already have a turbo back and a programmer and i was planning on buying the ppe boost controller and the egr delete. my question is what kind of boost is the stock turbo effecient to when cranking up the boost and getting rid of the egr valve

and what kind of power will the stock trans hold in refrence to boost

Anymore than 32psi and your just making heat. 32psi seems the limit of both the LB7 and LLY turbos. Amymore than about 80hp over stock and your trans will want some help.

yeah i was just curios because my trans doesn't seem to like the 120hp setting on my programmer.

and if 80hp is all it will take my tranny most likely won't last long if i turn up the boost to 30psi because that should be close to 80hp alone correct

and is the 6spd allison conversion worth the money to hold the extra power or should i just go ahead and build the trans

just build the trans, the 6spd would be tons of money, and it would still have to be built to hold the power. Go with a real nice fully built tranny from suncoast or something along those lines.
